Our clients, the Hodgins, came to us with a clear vision: they wanted a modern kitchen featuring light, soft natural colours that would feel both elegant and inviting. They were renovating because their old kitchen no longer suited their needs, and they wanted a dream kitchen with the "crème de la crème" of materials. They spent a lot of time, back and forth, viewing various materials, including porcelain, quartz, and granite slabs in Kitchener and London. They eventually chose this incredibly beautiful Ice White Granite 3CM, sourcing their stone directly from Infinity Stone in Toronto.

Some notable features of this kitchen renovation include the granite backsplash, the waterfall edge on the island, the built-in coffee bar, and a custom range hood.
We’re not exactly sure how long the full renovation took before we got involved, but from countertop installation to finishing the backsplash, our team from Natural Stone City was finished within two weeks.
A Seamless Stone Statement Behind the Stove
The area surrounding the six-burner gas stove is a true focal point in the Hodgins’ new kitchen.
Granite countertops flank either side, and the same stunning stone continues as a full-height backsplash that stretches all the way up to the custom hood.
The installation is flawless; it’s so seamless it feels as though the countertops simply flow up the wall.
A striking diagonal vein in a darker grey tone draws your eye upward, adding depth and movement.
The natural veining throughout the stone creates a unique, one-of-a-kind look that makes this kitchen truly stand out.
A Bright Sink Space
The kitchen sink area is a perfect blend of function and modern elegance.
Subtly rounded granite edges frame a sunken stainless steel sink, softening the look while maintaining clean lines.
Behind the sink, the Ice White Granite continues seamlessly up the wall as a backsplash, beautifully reflecting the natural light pouring in through the large window.
The stone's soft grey veining, paired with flecks of pale steel grey, bright white, and touches of black, adds depth and character.
Each unique pattern in the granite brings a refined, one-of-a-kind feel to this light-filled focal point.
Flawless Corners and Illuminated Stone
The kitchen corner is a subtle showstopper, where craftsmanship and design come together effortlessly.
Under-cabinet lighting highlights the Ice White granite, making its soft veining and natural tones truly pop.
The veins are perfectly aligned, flowing from the countertop surface up the backsplash beneath the cabinets with such precision, it's hard to believe there's a seam at all, even in the corner.
Paired with classic white shaker cabinets, the granite creates a clean, cohesive look that feels both modern and timeless.

At the heart of the Hodgins’ kitchen is a spacious island that truly steals the show.
Featuring a stunning waterfall edge profile, the Ice White granite cascades down the sides with perfectly matched veining, creating a seamless, sculptural effect.
The stone’s glossy finish catches the light beautifully, reflecting like a mirror and adding a sense of brightness to the entire space.

Typically used for quick drop-offs like keys, mail, notes, or a phone, this functional space has been elevated with a luxurious touch of Ice White granite.
The stone isn’t limited to the countertop; it continues up the back wall, creating a sophisticated backdrop for a floating shelf tucked beneath the upper cabinet.
A wide, distinctive grey vein sweeps diagonally across the left side, giving the area a bold, one-of-a-kind look. It's a practical feature made undeniably beautiful.
A Coffee Lover’s Dream
For coffee lovers, this dedicated coffee bar is both a beautiful and practical addition to the Hodgins’ kitchen.
The Ice White granite countertop flows seamlessly up the wall, becoming a striking full-height backsplash that extends behind two floating shelves.
These shelves are perfect for displaying favourite mugs while keeping them within easy reach.
In this section of their kitchen, the granite has a particularly elegant pattern of darker grey veins running diagonally across the surface, adding depth and character to their space.
The stone also surrounds a convenient sink tucked into the bar, making cleanup as effortless as your morning brew. It's a thoughtfully designed space that makes every coffee break feel just a little more luxurious.

Tucked just off to the side of the main kitchen, the separate kitchen vanity adds both function and flair.
With an additional sink and extra storage, it’s the perfect solution for busy households. No more competing for sink space during meal prep or clean-up.
This clever addition is finished with yet another stunning slab of Ice White granite, seamlessly tying it into the overall design.
